Description
The Lead Unified Communications Engineer provides the planning, design, acquisition and implementation of the company's communications systems. The Lead Unified Communications Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
The Lead Unified Communications Engineer evaluates company requirements to determine whether an internal or other operating system is more appropriate. Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons. Performs traffic study analysis to determine best configuration of systems. May include company-wide, web-enabled solutions. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Required Qualifications
a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
8 or more years of Unified Communications experience
2 or more years of project leadership experience
Experience planning, designing, and implementing communications systems
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Cost analysis, and vendor comparison experience
Project management experience
Certifications related to Unified Communications
