Job Description:
What's the role -
Work closely with the engineers and Operations Team Leads to make well work decisions/recommendations including selection and optimization of services; materials; fluid systems; operational techniques, operational efficiencies, cost tracking, and management of project risks. Provide input on well programs, including details around HSSE, well control, equipment, contractors, etc. Responsible for managing the well work schedule for the field, coordination of material, equipment, and human resources, and serving as a primary interface between engineering and operations. Accountable for well handover/hand back with other operations groups such as drilling and production. Provide input and suggestions on service contracts to enable high performance. Manage contractor services in the field in line with the contracting strategy and the goals of the contract management team. Serve as a focal point for HSSE management with the contractors and the evaluation of service quality. Lead discussions with contractors regarding performance, future plans, and variances needed. Responsible for championing operational performance improvement initiatives throughout the well delivery process. Support the implementation of new technologies as part of the performance improvement process. Lead the supervisory team in implementation of opportunities to optimize operations. Responsible for maintaining communication and leading by example in ensuring integration with production operations and other support departments.
Purpose & Accountability:
Provide routine and emergency technical input and support for all well related activities
Co-ordinate and manage logistics to ensure operations are conducted safely, on time and in accordance with execution programmes.
Ensure deviations from execution programmes are only conducted with the appropriate level of technical authorization.
Ensure adherence to change control procedures in the event of programme amendments.
Ensure all lessons learned are captured and shared from execution, in line with the GWDP.
Actively participate in all After Action Reviews to ensure feedback loop for improvements make it back into the appropriate WEIS funnels.
HSSE – Responsible for ensuring HSSE is integrated in the procedure and execution of rig operations. Actively promote HSSE and Sustainable Development (SD) in all activities and ensure compliance with business principles.
Coaching and Mentoring -- Coach and mentor team members to deliver best-in-class performance in HSSE, cost, and time.
Cost and Time Tracking – Champion and lead a team of supervisors in tracking well costs and job timing during execution, including differentiating trouble costs/time from expected costs/time.
Dimensions:
This role currently has no direct reports but will draw resources from the matrix organizations and Wells Contractors.
This position is not tied to a certain rig, offshore operations support will interface with any of the GoM MODU rigs executing completion operations.

What we need from you -
Must have a legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor or Master of Engineering/Science Engineering/ Science degree in an Engineering or Geosciences discipline preferred
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of offshore experience
A demonstrable experience in Deepwater Drilling supervision operations
Possession of IWCF, HUET, TWIC, etc… authorized to work offshore in GoM.
Commercial skills: Strong management skills, proponent of Strategic Cost Leadership, deep understanding of commercial implications of emerging ways of working, techniques and technologies. Able to benchmark on local and global scale.
People Skills: Exceptional relationship skills and ability to influence and coach at all levels.
Be responsible for own development and will execute a personal development plan agreed with the Well Ops Team Leader- Skilled in presentation and communications
Ability to work and manage in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
Maximize value to the assigned asset whilst maintaining HS&E standards.
Familiarization with new technology completion tools such as ESTMZ, MST, RABC, is a plus.
