LivePerson is currently seeking an experienced developer to join our team as a
Sr. Software Development Engineer
as part of our Engineering Services Team. While most of the team members are based in
Israel and Germany,
we’re work from anywhere friendly and have several team members working from remote locations. The successful candidate will be part of a team that drives important initiatives such as the new Configuration Management API and additional engineering related tasks. You will be part of the Global Product and Technology unit and would help to build state-of-the-art services that are used by our largest customers.

In this role you will:
You must have an impressive background of developing mission-critical applications with 99.99% uptime, and consider Operational Excellence as an integral part of responsibility.
Be a technology leader within the Engineering Services development team and across the larger development group that the team is part of.
You will execute the technology roadmap and collaborate with Product, UX, and other internal teams to provide a stable, innovative, and valuable product.
Take full ownership for your development tasks, including testing & automation, QA, CI, DevOps and production operations if needed.
Plan, design, and deliver complex, broad-scale systems that span several departments or functions.
Perform code reviews and deployments.
Always think long term and never sacrifice a long term goal for a short term success.
Keep an eye on industry standards and best practices. Never stop learning. Always challenge the status quo.
Work remotely and collaborate with teams all over the globe.
What you need for success:
8 years of software development experience
BA/B.Sc. in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent professional experience
Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
Experience in working with RESTful APIs;
Strong knowledge of
Node.js & Typescript
Knowledge of CI, configuration management and containerization solutions.
Knowledge of
SLO/SLI/SLAs
and managing
99.99%
uptime.
Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
