Lead
regional education and training activities in support of Cardiac Rhythm Heart
Failure-CRHF (primary responsibility) and Cardiac Vascular Group-CVG (secondary
responsibility) new hire training and product launches.
Serve as the customer and field
technical resource in CRHF (primary) and CVG (secondary). Provide expertise and leadership in the areas
of Fellows education, IBHRE certification, AHP education, clinical evidence
interpretation, CVG champion programs.
Provide clinic and implant coverage as dictated by needs of the region.
Position
reports to a District Service Manager.
Each Region determines number of TFEs based on business needs, training
demands and funding. Each region will
have a minimum of one TFE.

**A DAY INTHE LIFE - POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Field
Education and Training
Drives regional education and training activities for salesand service staff around CRDM products and therapies, specifically:
New product launches
Leads new-hire training withaccountability to hiring manager (DM or DSM)
IBHRE certification prep
CVG sales and service educationand training (secondarily) as required by region and BU Championsprograms
Expert in competitive technology and therapies. Disseminates competitive information toregional teams. Delivers competitive training to field service and sales staff.
Stays current with regard to publications and clinicalevidence. Effectively and regularlydisseminates information and training to field sales and service staff.
Clinical
Research Support
Partners with CRHF FCEs and FieldScientists, CRI FRCs, MSLs, TDSs and other BU clinical personnel to executesuccessful clinical research enrollments within region.
Conducts customer training on theuse of Medtronic products and clinical protocols; coordinates fieldinvolvement in these processes and covers clinical research cases asneeded.
Field
Technical & Sales Support
Assists and/or services as consultant to customers as wellas sales and service staff with troubleshooting and programming challenges.
May be responsible for key customer relationships and serveas primary contact based on regional specific needs.
Serves as technical resource to customers and Medtronicpersonnel for complex problems. Providestechnical explanation and demonstration of products to customers, particularlysurrounding product launches.
Provides clinic and implant coverage (20% - 30% of totaltime) depending upon individual region demands.May be used to cover service for vacancies, leaves of absence and totrain new hires.
Sales
and Service Solutions
Partners with DSSs and RegionsSolutions Specialist to help deliver Medtronic Advantage Programs asrequested and appropriate.
Attain a minimum of Lean SigmaYellow Belt within 12 months (or as funding allows) and lead lean sigma efforts surrounding serviceefficiency across the region.
Partners with DSMs to successfullyimplement CareLink Express across region.

Each
TFE will have one or more focus items assigned to them depending on the region
business demands.
Fellows Liaison
Partners with the CRHF FellowsManager and field to communicate with and execute EP and CardiologyFellows initiatives. Maintainsrelationships with EP Fellowship Directors.
Partners with CVG DMs, BUs andfield to communicate and execute SH, Endovascular and InterventionalCardiology Fellows initiatives.
IBHRE
Designs and leads annual IBHREprep course for CRDM field.
AHP Education Lead
Partners with Cardiology DMs andfield to deliver region education initiatives for Allied HealthProfessionals.
CVG Champions Liaison
Achieves familiarity in one CVGbusiness outside of CRDM and partners with CVG DM to assist in driving BUChampions efforts and product launches.
**MUST HAVE - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME
**EDUCATION REQUIRED:**
Bachelors Degree PLUS a minimum 2 years of experience in electrophysiology or sales/service/engineering in the Cardiac Rhythm or an Implantable Medical Device Industry
-OR-
Advanced Degree in engineering or nursing

**NICE TO HAVE - DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
5 years of experience with implantable cardiac devices
Masters in engineering or nursing
Knowledgeable of education/training techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstration of strong leadership ability
Formal and informal presentation professionalism
Ability to understand and convey complex technical concepts
