Client located near Bellflower, CA needs a Senior Technical Project Manager – EMR for a Contract to Hire or Full Time position.
The Client is not able to accept H1's for this position at this time.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of a project manager which include managing all aspects of a project including initiating, planning, executing, closing and controlling, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
This individual will define the project charter and scope with the IT Leadership team and CMG/Practice Management Leadership team and then implement the new practices including tasks such as develop the detailed project plan, coordinate resource requirements, manage the program budget, and develop other related project/program documents (e.g. RAID, risk management, etc.) .
This position also has the responsibility of coordinating project milestones with other departments and project managers, especially IT.
This is a hands-on role and requires detailed knowledge of cross-functional IT department processes and technologies in order to quickly coordinate these implementations
Coaches and mentors project team members; mentors other project managers around project management methodology
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Requires BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with IT focus degree.
7 years of project management experience in broad-based information systems.
5-7 years of healthcare IT is highly preferred.
Must have a minimum of 3 years leading and directing project tasks; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Project management certification highly preferred within one year of job placement and prior to moving to the next level.
Knowledgeable about healthcare administrative operations and IT related systems: eligibility, billing, claims, customer service, etc.
Direct experience in healthcare clinical delivery and related applications (e.g. EMR, Case Management).
Highly experienced in Microsoft Word and proficient in other MS Office tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint.
Demonstrated application of and proven success of project management methodology, management tools, analysis and research tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools required.
Experience in coaching and mentoring project team members preferred.
