Position Summary

Under Armour is looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and dynamic Manager Data Analytics Engineer to deliver and execute the vision for the Enterprise Data Management team to enable Under Armour, as a Global organization, to be a cross functional & industry thought leader, based on its predictive insights from the use of data. This role will be responsible to lead, and govern the secure, scalable, efficient data analytics platform to enable data democratization through reporting and visualization.

You will join a results-oriented team and participate in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our modernized data platform to enable the business to make better, more informed decisions. This is a key role in the Data Analytics Engineering team and will work closely with Enterprise Data Analysts, Data Platform Engineers, Data Governance Team, as well as Domain Architect, within Enterprise Data Management Org. In this role you will help define, develop and implement solutions and provide services for the enterprise applications. Some of the Projects you will work on including but not limited to:


Migrating and Centralizing Enterprise BI data into a single cloud data platform (Snowflake) to house consumer and enterprise data together while enhancing the user community experience and support the growing demand to meet enterprise reporting, advance analytics , and executive decision-based reporting use cases.
Enterprise Top Dashboard: Build out the management reporting layer, identifying and developing the UA Top management dashboards. To transform Under Armour into a more data driven organization, enabling faster and better decision making and reducing the reliance on manual, labor intense reporting
Continue to support(SAP HANA/BOBJ Platform) and build the new capabilities (Snowflake/Tableau, Modernized Data Platform) as prioritized through demand intake process to support our business/functional partners.

Manage 1 to 2 Data Analytics Engineers as they work on data automation, transformation and visualization to design, develop, test and implement the appropriate backend and front-end structures needed to meet business reporting requirements.
Hire, manage, coach, and lead a high performing team of Data Engineers within the overarching governance of UA’s Global Operating Model.
Model, design, develop, test, and implement the appropriate backend and front-end structures needed to meet business visualization and reporting requirements.
Leverage industry-leading integration and analytics tools to build a modern data warehouse that is accurate, reliable, high performing and easily accessible to our business departments.
Build aggregate data models. Manage the data flow to reflect in dashboards to meet business requirements.
Data formatting and processing to build the foundation layer for dashboards and self-service reporting. Work on data transformation, using the ETL tools. Build dimension views and fact tables.
Responsible for the full life cycle of development, from requirements gathering through data transformation coding and report/dashboard design and creation.
Follow development standards in accordance with UA best practices.
Work with Enterprise Data Analysts team to clarify functional requirements and create the TSD's.
Data formatting and processing to build the foundation layer for dashboards and self-service reporting.
Troubleshoot data anomalies with engineering teams.
Work on data transformation, using the ETL tools. Build dimension views and fact tables.
Responsible for daily support of the data warehouse and associated data marts
Coordinate with Data Platform Engineering team, Enterprise Data Analyst Team, Data Governance Team, and IT Teams to align with change management processes and to ensure performance, processes and access is optimal for our global reporting solutions.
Work collaboratively to align business requirements with reporting and analytical solutions.
Improve processes regarding data flow and quality to improve data accuracy, viability and value.
Work with Key Stakeholders on gathering business requirements; develop a technical plan with duration estimates. Execute the plan and deliver the required deliverables within the time estimate.
Lead and manage Code Reviews, Code promotions, Deployment and overall production execution.
Document development for peer reference and knowledge transfer.
Provide technical solution designs
Educate and empower the business community towards self-serve reporting model.
Coach and mentor junior team members.


Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)


Strong background on dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts.
Proficiency in advanced SQL, performance tuning and optimization methodologies
Experience with Snowflake or cloud architecture such as AWS, Azure.
Prior experience with building data models on DBT (Data Build Tool) is a plus
Experience with Tableau a plus
Cloud Professional Data Engineer & Cloud Architect Certification is a plus
Proven ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
Exceptional team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and committed to meeting deadlines
Deep analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills are required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be a self-starter, proactive and possess the ability to work with minimal supervision


Education And / Or Experience


Bachelor’s degree in Information model development and data warehousing or Computer Science or a degree to include similar major.
Fundamental data architecture and design skills
Excellent knowledge of SQL and strong data transformation skill.
Familiarity developing and supporting the SAP HANA, Business Objects, and SAC platform stack to ensure performance, process, access is optimal for the global reporting solution.
4 Years of Experience in data preps , establishing connection with data sources, creating dimensions, measures, calculation, adding or updating data models at tableau desktop, designing and building reports, dashboards and visualizations utilizing the Tableau Platform.
3 Years of Experience with dbt or similar data transformation and data orchestration tool.
Experience working in CICD framework.
3 Years of Experience delivering at scale with Snowflake and related products such as DBT,GitHub,Python.
Familiarity working with HVR or similar replication tool.
Enjoy working with emerging technologies.
Comfortable with language barriers or constraints; bilingual language skills are a plus
