The App Store is a safe and trusted place for customers to discover apps, and a great opportunity for developers to deliver apps and services. App Review reviews all apps and app updates submitted to the App Store in an effort to determine whether they run optimally, perform as expected, respect user privacy, and are free of objectionable content. We are looking for someone to help us lead on these priorities and deliver high quality software and workflows for App Review. We are hiring a talented Software Engineering Manager to join us and to lead one of our teams that make all of this possible. The ideal candidate will be someone with experience in large and distributed systems, comfortable working with large projects and a passion for performance, scalability, and system resilience as well as excellent leadership skills to take this team to the next level.
Key Qualifications
Strong leadership skills to successfully lead a team of phenomenal engineers in delivering products.
At least 5 years experience in designing, implementing and supporting highly scalable backend systems and web services.
Strong hands on experience - Multithreading, Networking (including non-blocking IO), HTTP and REST APIs.
Understanding and preferably experience with Kubernetes, HDFS, Cassandra, and Data Pipelines.
Experience with client side development or automation is a huge plus.
Be an advocate and driver for performance optimization, automation, and unit tests.
Excellent written, and verbal communication skills.
Tireless attention to detail.

In this role youll be closely working with different teams like the App Store Connect, App Review, and Content Import teams to bring projects and features to life supporting App Store customers, Developers and Apple users. This is a hands on position where you will be encouraged to help with the engineering and support in addition to management duties. Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, EE, or equivalent industry experience is required.
