Description
The Senior Citrix Systems Engineer - Network/Virtualization is a member of a High-Performing Engineering team with a desire to deliver sophisticated solutions. They are essential in providing a world-class experience to our associates and business partners.
Responsibilities
Participates as a member of a High-Performing Engineering team, with a primary focus on providing reliable and secure virtual access to 20K concurrent users
Defines and establish monitoring thresholds and action plans for Citrix ADC and Storefront events, to be managed by Level 2 support teams
Partners with Network, Security, and Offshore business partners to develop resilient and secure access to existing Virtual App and Desktop environments.
Develops technical roadmap to provide network access to cloud-based virtual servers and desktops.
Configures and support NetScaler and Access Gateway solutions to support scalable delivery of applications and desktops to various endpoints.
Demonstrates expertise with Citrix NetScaler, GSLB, and implement load balancing best practices
Configuration, installation, and maintenance of Citrix Provisioning Services and Citrix NetScaler.
Delivers solutions in support of Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (secondary skill set, primary MUST be Citrix ADC/Netscaler).
Required Qualifications
5-8 years systems engineering at enterprise level with strong knowledge of Highly Available Citrix environments
Experience managing Citrix ADC v12.1 or higher required
Experience managing Citrix Storefront 1912
Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 1912 (secondary skill set)
Experience with Citrix Cloud
Experience with Azure AD Multi-Factor Authentication
Automation skills highly preferred
Experience with Netscaler MAS
Knowledge of multiple operating systems and related utilities and hardware
Knowledge of storage management
Knowledge of TCP/IP and network troubleshooting tools (WireShark, NetMon, etc.)
Knowledge of technical writing principles and practices
Skill to effectively analyze and solve problems
Skill in software installation and maintenance
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, clients and public
Ability to install, configure and manage Citrix Access Gateway devices, both appliances and virtual instances
Knowledge and hands-on experience troubleshooting issues where the Netscaler is part of the network path.
Hands-on experience diagnosing and addressing end-user response time issues.
Hands-on load balancing experience
Must not require sponsorship to work in the U.S. now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
Experience working in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment
Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N)
Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V)
Additional Information
This role will also provide support for Humana Government Business, and will require a clear background investigation performed by the Defense Counterintellegence and Security Agency
