Daily Duties / Responsibilities: Maintain and manage systems that are highly available, scalable, resilient, and secure on the AWS platform.
Design, implement, manage, and maintain DevOps tools to automate operational processes in AWS platform.
Lead and/or contribute to the development, maintenance, and usage of secure deployment infrastructure to meet HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot production issues and create root cause analysis report.
Work within an Agile team framework to collaborate with other DevOps team members to prioritize and assign work.
Coordinate with other development teams to provide support and manage technical expectations.
Collaborate with architects and developers to design effective and secure solutions.
Collaborate with team to design, implement, automate, maintain, and troubleshoot security controls, governance processes, and compliance support.
Healthcare Consultant-Software Engineer:
Required skills: 2 years of experience working in projects that support public benefit programs such as Medicaid.
1 year of experience working in an Agile team environment
Hands-on experience developing automation using CloudFormation.
Hands-on experience in developing Lambdas in Python (Boto3) for AWS infrastructure automation.
Strong knowledge of AWS DevOps tools (CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline)
Linux and Windows OS experience
Hands on experience with hardening of AWS infrastructure.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Experience working in South Carolina Medicaid program will be highly preferred.
Deep knowledge on AWS core components (examples: IAM, WAF, API Gateway, ECS, EBS, Glue, EC2, S3, SNS, Lambda, security hub, security groups, VPC, CFT, Route 53, security certificate manager, AWS configuration, AWS build pipelines and AWS cloud trail).
Python scripting ability
Strong knowledge of backup, restore, recovery, and high availability strategies for AWS environments.
Experience participating in technical change reviews and analyzing the impact of change on the environment.
Experience with cloud security and compliance services such as Prisma Cloud.
Ability to identify system vulnerabilities and provide solution designs.
Knowledge of operating systems patching.
Required education/certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar 4-year technical degree 2 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education
Preferred education/certifications: AWS certification
