Description:

Years of Relevant Experience: 5 years of experience in IT with consulting experience preferred

Required Education: 4 year college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or another relevant field.

Role Description:

Consults with clients to define requirements and recommend solutions
Generate, identify and qualify methods of incorporating technology with the standard industry practices
Study technical trends and how to affect this acquired information with the purpose of upgrading the systems
Serve as an advisor on industry alternatives, options, perils, and provide data on the advantages against the disadvantages of the same on the business processes and procedures.
Provides support for ongoing and recurring IT security audits of system
Consults with program/project management to develop appropriate technical solutions
Advise on options, risks, costs vs. benefits, impact on other business processes and system priorities
Analyze and solve complex technical problems, including advanced data analysis and multiple technologies.
Use increased business knowledge to appropriately challenge the status quo and drive business and IT collaboration

Desired Certifications:

MSCA and MCSE Certification or equivalent replacement

Responsibilities:

Performs installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and support of service/management applications or infrastructure components incorporated at any clients existing or future computing infrastructure.
Responsible for Windows technical planning, implementation, performance tuning, and recovery/troubleshooting procedures for enterprise systems.
Knowledge and experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and applications including Windows Server 2012, 2019, and Windows 10.
Monitors the ongoing operation and performs activities to assist with performance tuning, troubleshooting of hardware, OS, and application issues.
Assist the Director of Technology with Client assessments to scope new projects.
Performs regular and on demand infrastructure backups and recoveries.
Participates in disaster recovery and business resumption planning, testing, and implementation. Participates in Systems emergency response.
Maintains appropriate documentation on procedures, configurations, and equipment inventory.
Assists in the management and operation of the clients data center
Assists in the implementation of security policies & procedures, along with investigation and resolution of security incidents, to ensure a stable and secure computing infrastructure
Designs and develops automated processes using a variety of scripting and programming languages.
Develops standard operating procedures and trains staff in the implementation of these procedures
Researches and recommends new hardware, software, and management tools to enhance service quality.
Manages small to large projects, including needs analysis, planning, testing, and implementation.
Performs other duties and responsibilities related to those described above, which do not alter the basic level or duties of the position.

Required Skills:

4 years of College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or another relevant field
Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
Thorough knowledge of virtualization technologies.
Knowledge best practices as they apply to network, server, storage, and security infrastructure.
Knowledge of network communications including protocols, switching, and routing.
Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
Provide examples of clear written documentation.
Understand and have a familiarity with working within formal service management and project management frameworks.

Highly desired skills:

5 years of Experience in IT with consulting experience preferred
