JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall maintenance and technical operations of all rides and attractions at Universal Orlando.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages and directs Ride and Show Maintenance of attractions at USF, IOA and Volcano Bay. Maintenance includes Preventive Maintenance, Repairs and Operational Support. Required coverage spans 7 days a week 24 hours a day.
Provide support for the Design, Development, Deployment and Technical Operations of Universal Orlando.
Ride Safety and Compliance at Universal Orlando. Ensure safety of all guests and Team Members. Chair safety compliance and meeting with safety representatives.
Develops and drives the implementation of the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiative within Ride and Show. This includes both cultural and procedural programs to make UO best in class and improve overall performance.
Partners with Universal Creative in the new attraction evaluation and review to make sure new attractions are delivered correctly and completely. Review scope of work, designs, deliverables and testing results of all new attractions for safety, maintainability and reliability.
Other Maintenance Duties include the management and oversight of the Parkwide Audio, Video and Lighting Departments, Central Shops and Integration Facilities, Off-Site Creative Fabrication Shop, Auto Shop, Boat Maintenance Shop and 33,000 SKU Parts Warehouse.
Financial responsibility for the overall Ride and Show Budget.
TSAT and development of Exempt and Hourly Team members. Ensure entire team is properly trained for work activities and managing team members.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or appropriate technical field is required. Master’s degrees in technical field and/or management/business degree(s) are desirable.
EXPERIENCE: 10 Years: Required in a Senior Management role within the ride maintenance field with specific training and experience with ride maintenance and inspection or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Level 1 NAARSO Safety Inspector
