Job Description:
The Shell Chemicals and Products portfolio of assets is transforming into six highly integrated Energy and Chemicals Parks out of which Rheinland is a key player in the European market. A wide portfolio of transition projects is currently developed to reduce WtW emissions of our products by more than 20mln tpa until 2030 investing in low carbon and circular value chains.
As Electrical Lead Transformation you will develop the asset of the future for the energy and chemical Park including the aspiration of digitalization, minimization of human exposure by automation and Project optimization. You will be one of the leaders of the transformation journey!
Where you fit in
You will be working in the Energy and Chemicals Park Rheinland, nicely situated between Bonn and Cologne close to the beautiful green hills of the Eifel. The Energy and Chemicals Park Rheinland is a complex manufacturing site and presents a wide range of professional, commercial and managerial challenges and opportunities. What’s the role?
As the Electrical Lead Transformation you will ensure that electrical equipment - changed or new - developed at capital projects are in accordance with agreed health, safety and environmental practices and procedures as outlined in the Management System and in accordance with legal obligations. You will provide technical expertise regarding electrical infrastructure such as electrical masterplanning, standardization and life time assessment. You will be accountable for vendor qualification, ensure proper contractor engineering and provide technical assurance to the projects. In this role you will develop the asset of the future for the energy and chemical Park including the aspiration of digitalization, minimization of human exposure and automation. You will optimize projects by cost, office cost and schedule acceleration and deliver projects of the energy transition for different business units like Chemicals and Products, Hydrogen or new fuels. You will be one of the leaders of the transformation journey!
What we need from you
To be successful in this role, you are pro-active and creative in problem solving, service minded and a good team player. You enjoy working independently and taking ownership of the work assigned. You have demonstrated strong analytical power, communication skills and a systematic approach to problem solving and show a learner mindset.
You have experience and knowledge as:
Electrical engineer with end to end ownership and commercial mindset with >3 years experience in electrical infrastructure, automation and maintenance
University Degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional skills of international codes and standards; skills in German regulations and codes regarding electrical engineering are desirable (Willing to learn local regulations like VDE (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure)
Knowledge level in electrical infrastructure design
Excellent writing and speaking skills in English; skills in German are desirable (willing to learn German)
