Tableau Developer

Profile

The Tableau Developer will be a key member to the IT Analytics team at Penumbra.
rnThis position will primarily be responsible for Tableau reporting and visualization and actively interfacing with business teams and external vendors. He/she will manage Tableau development and server upgrades. Collaborate closely with functional leads and business teams to ensure visualization and data representation are highly effective and interactive.

• Design visualization architecture for converting data to meaningful information.*

• Participate in architecture and implementing solutions that improve business process efficiency and accuracy.*

• Interact with stakeholders across multiple business units and IT to understand requirements. Apply domain expertise to advise business units on best practices, processes, and system improvements.*

• Gather and document business requirements, formulate use cases and participate in solution design activities. *

• Comply with quality system regulations, standards and procedures.*

rnPosition Qualifications:

• Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus five years’ Tableau development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Additional Qualifications: Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project governance practices required. Comprehensive grasp of data visualization methods; ability to create and tell a story with a set of elements within an Excel/Power BI environment. Strong Excel charting and pivot table experience, as well as proficiency with PowerPoint and Visio. Must possess strong attention-to-detail, strong individual initiative, problem solving and organizational skills. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
