Job Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Process Data Engineer – Facilities & Equipments to join our PdM (Predictive Maintenance Team).

PdM Team is part of Technical Asset Operations (TAO) which aims to develop central, competitive capabilities delivering end-to-end value through the AMS (Asset Management System) work processes as an integral part of our Downstream Manufacturing (DS-M), Integrated Gas & New Energies (IGNE) and Upstream (UP) asset teams. TAO supports the business worldwide and often do so together with the deep capability of our Project & Technology (P&T), Information Technology (IT), and Finance & Data Operations (FO-Data) partners.

More specifically, your role includes:

Carry out surveillance for various upstream, downstream, and integrated gas facilities of Shell using exception-based tools.
Enable the assigned Shell’s Upstream/IG/DS Operating units, and its on-site employees in producing high-value information and data for high-quality asset maintenance/condition monitoring/performance improvements.
Understand the machinery constructions and maintenance methods such as proactive/preventive/corrective maintenance being followed in operating units and assist them in making changes and improve the readiness of maintenance with sufficient time before maintenance activities begin.
Assist onsite condition monitoring / rotating equipment engineers in understanding the data models and help them to improve the availability of the equipment.
Developing remote monitoring models for rotating /static equipment and process valves and enable the data accessible to rotating engineers within Shell.
Technical data extraction from machine drawings, PEFS, seal gas P&ID, Lube oil P&ID, seal oil P&ID, seal gas P&ID, instrument drawings, vibration & temperature P&ID, alarm/trip matrix, performance curves, and datasheet.
Developing and deployment of monitoring variables in various tools diagnostics tools like smart connect/C3 models (remote monitoring & diagnostics tool developed by Shell) to enable health and performance monitoring of equipment.
Support other discipline experts in an integrated surveillance approach so as to come up with a complete solution package for the prevention of unscheduled deferments through PTM/PdM for the asset.

Key challenges:

Business knowledge and operational skills on activities at the operating units, manufacturing site, chemical plant, supply chain, and distribution location. Includes specific methods, software, and hardware.
Sound understanding of business/process workflow and having the mature mindset to deal and behave under tough/challenging situations.
A self-starter leader and reliable deliverer, with very good verbal and written skills in English, able to negotiate with senior or difficult people, and able to resist undue influence that might otherwise compromise the integrity of data quality.
Although the role involves remote support to the upstream operating units/sites. However, the candidate should be willing to travel to various operating units/sites across the globe as per requirements.
