Loyola University Chicago (LUC), Department of Engineering Science invites applications for a three-year renewable, full-time, non-tenure-track position at the rank of clinical assistant professor, beginning fall 2017. Engineering Science began to offer its BS Engineering Science degree in fall of 2015 and plans to seek ABET accreditation in fall of 2019. The specializations in this program are biomedical, computer, and environmental engineering. The Engineering Science faculty includes Clinical Assistant Professors, who incorporate real-world experience into their teaching, and enable students to gain a better understanding of everyday engineering challenges such as product specifications. The department currently has 5 full-time faculty members. For more details about the program, visit **** The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses within a system theory-based curriculum, with a 4/3 course load. The successful candidate will oversee and teach sections of Biomedical Engineering Lab, biomedical engineering specialty courses, and core engineering courses, and will assist in the development and implementation of two rigorous Biomedical Engineering capstone design courses.
