The team has a comprehensive view of Splunku2019s capabilities across all of our products, how they integrate, and what is needed to operationalize them for our customers. As the Sr. Manager of this highly skilled team, you will be responsible for standardizing the operating and engagement models during the development process. Solidifying the mechanisms to collect, and report product feedback. You will supervise the team as they work with customers to install, configure and validate ground-breaking Splunk technologies in their environments. Oversee the sharing of their discoveries to guarantee both product design and product delivery enabling features that Splunk customers value!The team acts as the go-to resource to standardize processes and provide deployment guidance for both pre-release and recently released products and their capabilities. Identifying areas of collaboration, and lead dependencies throughout the entire P&T organization and the programs currently supported.You will maintain a deep technical understanding of the current products, new capabilities, and features as they are being developed. Partnering with Product and Engineering as they develop new features bringing their capabilities to the market. The right person needs both technical expertise and a robust set of non-technical skills to speak with many of our Splunk customers. Championing our customer's journey with Splunk to ensure success and value at each step!ResponsibilitiesDrive teamwork and collaboration across the programs that the team supports.Lead staff and assign projects to advisory engineers based on resource capacity, abilities and career growth areasAdvise Engineering and Product leadership on critical findings that could impact customer adoptionProvide technical leadership and contribute to key decisions making related to new products and cross-product integrations across the P&T organizationEstablish a regular cadence with the Field Interlock team to ensure there is Field involvement throughout the development lifecycleProvide continuous user feedback for fast iteration on the products being developedBuild a scalable model for the team to participate in design reviews with PM/Engineering for Tier 1 and Tier 2 productsBuild customer advocacy through relationship building and expert communication skillsRequirementsSolid experience (5 years) in leading a team of technical resources in a fast-paced high-tech environmentDomain expert in designing and maintaining large, highly distributed Splunk Enterprise deployments.Solid understanding of open source and big data technologies, trends, methodologies, and best practicesAbility to take customer problems and/or enhancements and turn them into clear and consolidated feature requestsPossesses strong presentation skills and is able to communicate clearly and professionally at all levels within and outside the companyWorking knowledge and experience across multiple verticals and industries and can articulate the technology landscapeConsulting background and /or comfortable working with customersExpert troubleshooting skills using diagnostic and development toolsStrong shell scripting and high-level language expertiseGreat listener, passionate about puzzles, and not afraid to dive into a problem to help solve itStrong passion for collaboration, teamwork, quality and attention to detailWe value diversity at our company.
