ASE is recruiting senior engineering and support staff supporting the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense, Research and Engineering Branch (OUSD/R&E).  We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Technical or Engineering – Engineering Tools & Environments (ETE) capable of executing activities within Digital Engineering, tools and environments, with an emphasis on existing tools from within the model and simulation enterprise. Mature judgement required to interface with external stakeholders and senior government personnel. Position located in the Washington D.C./Virginia area. Telecommuting or remote with management discretion.Work to evaluate and secure cutting-edge technology and engineering capabilities to facilitate modernization efforts and support DoD joint warfighting effortsWork with a team of driven, supportive, and highly skilled professionalsOther areas of responsibility include evolution of model/simulation enablers (such as, but not limited to validation principles and verification techniques, etc.) for expanded use in digital applications.Provide Professional Engineering Services in the areas of Technical Expertise and General Engineering Support; Engineering Policy, Guidance, and Standards; Systems and Engineering Tools and EnvironmentBS degree or higher in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline that is relevant to Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writingAbility to develop papers, reports, and briefings targeted to senior decision makersIndividual must have demonstrated experience in development, application, and stewardship of models across multiple disciplines of acquisition, analysis, and training.Experience to include supporting policy and process engineering activitiesAN ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZENMaster’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline that is relevant to Engineering#LI-JC1The Aerospace Sciences and Engineering (ASE) Division is based in Cocoa Beach, Fla., with facilities and capabilities in Colorado Springs, Colo., El Segundo, Calif., and Orcutt, Calif.
