Perform as functional manager and provide technical leadership for a group of 12-20

engineers involved in the development of world

class microwave analog and mixed-signal

hardware including receivers, exciters,

synthesizers and analog signal processing

subsystems. Individual will be a POC for

advanced technology to program offices for the

identification and application of engineering

resources to assist in generation of technology

investment strategies and development

program execution. The selected candidate will

provide technical leadership and council on the

creative and programmatic aspects of the work

assigned to subordinates. The selected

candidate will also monitor work output and

redirect course of action as needed to achieve

work effectiveness and maintain program

schedules.

Individual will oversee current development

efforts including AEGIS programs, Solid State Radar programs, and various CRAD

programs. Responsibilities will include

supporting the business in the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities,

provided to business area programs are of the

highest quality, satisfying cost, schedule and

technical commitments with 100% mission

success. Individual will focus on enhancing

program execution by leveraging proven

processes, sharing lessons learned and

adopting best practices from other parts of the

business or industry. Individual will be a

mentor to his/her group in all aspects relating

to maintaining discipline to procedures,

incorporation of new beneficial tools and

methodologies and encouraging self

motivation, innovation and empowerment.

Individual will be responsible for ensuring

process adherence as well as identification and

coordination of improvement opportunities

within the group.

Basic Qualifications:

- This position requires a proven leader with domain expertise in mixed signal design. In addition, the candidate should possess a proven ability in engineering talent development. Both functional and programmatic management experience is highly desired.

- The candidate should have experience in strategic development and the development of strategic relations. A minimum of 8-10 years of directly relevant professional experience is required.

- The candidate will have demonstrated competence in managing cross disciplinary teams and must have a strong

understanding of hardware engineering processes and the hardware engineering product life cycle.

- The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at both programmatic and technical levels with subordinates, senior management levels and the customer.

- The candidate must have demonstrated proficiency in earned value, schedule, cost and risk management

techniques.

- A technical undergraduate degree is required for this position. A technical graduate degree is highly desirable.
