Environmental Engineering Jobs

The responsibilities of the environmental engineer include developing and implementing environmental programs. The environmental engineer conducts following up with facility audits, supervision of shop floor personnel, and facilitation of process hazard analysis (PHA) projects. The environmental engineer assists, and consults with, emergency response teams, fire, rescue, and EMT matters; acts as liaison to all EHS auditors. He or she develops and implements safety programs through-out the facility; conducting industrial health and safety monitoring etc.

Applicants for environmental engineering positions of this type generally have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and working knowledge of OSHA regulations. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations is generally required.
Some employers may refer to similar positions as environmental health and safety professional, environmental health and safety specialist, or similar titles depending on job profiles.
