Application Engineer Jobs description
An application engineer is responsible for providing application support to the organizational units. Other responsibilities of an application engineer includes visiting facilities of customers or organizational units to study and understand problems with the application; understanding the clients\' requirements for the application and preparing appropriate designs; coordinating with designing/CAD team; handling customer queries; designing best possible yet economical solutions to problems; keeping updated on latest trends in the industry\'s and gathering maximum information; handling problems as they may arise; and performing other tasks as directed by the engineering manager or engineering director. An application engineer position may be available with an IT company, engineering company, production tools manufacturer, refinery or a company working in a similar environment.An application engineer should have a bachelor\'s degree in a technical or engineering field. Excellent academic credentials are required. Prior experience at an application engineer position may be helpful. Strong technical knowledge or expertise in the area is a must.
