Leader Jobs description
A leader in an engineering unit is the manager responsible for supervising a team of engineering professionals. More specific duties of an engineering leader are hiring, training, motivating, and terminating engineering personnel; training new engineers and evaluating their performance; controlling the movement of inventories; ensuring OSHA compliance; participating in strategy formulation for various engineering divisions; implementation of long term strategies and safety regulations; handling technical and administrative issues; and performing special tasks as directed by a senior manager, engineering director, vice president, president, chief technical officer, chief engineer, general manager, managing director, or any other senior manager.A leader in an engineering environment should have a bachelor\'s degree in an engineering discipline along with several years of progressively responsible experience. Excellent academic credentials are required. A leader/ supervisor or manager position may be available with an engineering/construction company, electronics manufacturer, automobile, rubber, telecom, textiles, steel, or any other manufacturing company.
