Quality Control Jobs description
A quality control professional is responsible for the quality of products being manufactured by the manufacturing division. Typical duties of a quality control professional include sampling the units manufactured; analyzing the samples for defects; keeping a close watch on the manufacturing process and looking out for improvement; making quality reports for workers; analyzing and submitting quality reports to the engineering manager; suggesting technological up-gradation or technological change with reference to quality issues; and promoting flaw-less manufacturing all over the organization. A quality control professional typically reports to an engineering manager.A quality control professional should have a bachelor of science degree in a relevant area. Ability to motivate others and excellent analytical skills are key traits for quality control positions. A quality control position may also be listed under the title of quality control executive, quality control officer, quality assurance officer, and auditor.
