Description

The Software Engineer 2 codes software applications based on business requirements. The Software Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer 2 standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Responsibilities:

Engineer that is propelled to understanding and helping to implement operational and production ready code

Maintain and find room to upgrade any app/system that will have a better result for product delivery .

Work closely with other developers to ensure we have solutions that reduce bugs in code and are long term

Document the solutions using visual aids such as powerpoint and visual studio so that there is a clear understanding of the system flow

Code, unit test and implement code based on the requirements and user stories provided

Lead developers and be part of a team to deliver solutions

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

5 years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development

Java development experience

ASP.net experience a plus

Azure or AWS

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree

Knowledge or work experience in Oracle

DevOps and Automation

Additional Information

Will report to the Associate Director, Technology Solutions, IT HPE - Employer Group - Development Support
