Best Buy Co., Inc. has an opening in Richfield, MN for the position of Digital Engineer - Systems Software providing expertise in software development lifecycle phases from concept and design to testing and deployment. Writing well-designed, efficient, and testable code. Ensuring backend system design updates comply with BestBuy standards and specifications. Ensuring software is built in compliance with security and data protection specifications. Designing and implementing data storage and reporting solutions. Develop and direct software system testing or validation procedures. Direct software programming and development of documentation. Multiple positions open.

Requires:

Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent foreign degree, in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related technical specialty, plus five years of progressively responsible post baccalaureate experience 1) participating in the development of UI features using REACT JavaScript, or CSS; 2) utilizing web development technologies such as Java, Groovy, Spring, REST, SOAP, Microservices, Queue managers (IBM, Rabbit, Kafka), Camel, Junit, Spock, GIT, IntelliJ IDEA, Oracle, SQL, JDBC, EhCache, Memcache; and 3) utilizing continuous integration, automated testing. In lieu of a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree, plus five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience, will accept a Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related technical specialty plus 3 years of experience as specified above.
