Continuous Improvement Specialist

Profile

The Continuous Improvement Specialist will use Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies to drive process improvements to MTR’s existing membrane module manufacturing line.  They will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of 5S on the production floor, including training operators and stakeholders, and enforcing adherence to the policy.  This position will monitor processes and make proposals for improvements to efficiency, safety, and quality in all manufacturing steps, then execute those improvements.

Requirements

BS degree in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a related field (i.e., membrane, solar panel manufacturing, semi-conductor, or biomedical industry), and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or higher.  Knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, statistical analysis, and word processing.  Training in, or industry experience, with Taguchi Robust Engineering.  Working knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing technologies, including standard assembly operations, roll-to-roll material handling, and coating/drying operations.  Training in statistical analysis and process control software (JMP, Minitab, or others).  Training in, or industry experience, with Lean Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints.

Salary Range

$99,100 – $135,900, DOE
