If you are a Mechanical Engineering student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Lebanon, MO location, you will improve your skills learned in the classroom by balancing the priorities of multiple engineering teams and projects. You will collaborate with different departments in addition to their own, in areas such as Manufacturing, Sales, Materials, Management, etc.

AS A MECHANICAL ENGINEERING CO-OP, RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO YOU: 

Assisting with various research, testing, and evaluations 

Processing documentation and conducting data analysis 

Conducting manufacturing audits 

Attending department, team and project meetings as necessary 

Assisting with process improvement projects tied to manufacturing 

Collaborating with other engineers, teams and departments

','!*!REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Undergraduate Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field

Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

Undergraduate Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industriial Engineering

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Sophomore or higher class standing

Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical and decision making skills, and PC skills including Microsoft Office

Previous Co-op or Intern Experience with Emerson or another company

Our facility in Lebanon, MO is located on Interstate 44 and Historic Route 66 in the scenic Ozarks of South-Central Missouri. Our plant in Lebanon, MO is Emerson’s flagship operation for scroll compressor assembly and a machining powerhouse for main bearing housings and scroll elements.  With over 60 million scroll compressors produced in the past 27 years.
