Primary Function
A thought-provoking, global media team is expanding their US news operations. We are seeking an experienced Broadcast IT Engineer who will support studio and production equipment and desk-top IT systems in brand new TV studio facility and newsroom. This position is providing first to second level engineering support to the operations team and newsroom journalists.
The preferred candidate for this position will ideally have more than 2 years of experience with a television broadcast facility as a member of the engineering or IT team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Support production and studio equipment, incl. cameras, video and audio mixers, edit suite and similar.
Troubleshooting and maintenance of technical equipment.
Supporting Windows computers and network.
First and second level IT support to users in newsroom.
Experience with Microsoft Office O365 is a major plus.
Maintain and update equipment documentation, standard operating procedures, and preventative maintenance procedures as required.
Evaluating, prioritizing, solving, and escalating all tickets to the appropriate Tier Support, and/or correcting the assignment of tickets as required; Enter, update, and close out tickets and change requests as required in ticketing system.
Provide onboarding and provisioning of new accounts, and termination for users departing the organization.

Skills & Qualifications
Good knowledge of Broadcast and IT technical principles, including production workflows, broadcast equipment and systems including, but not limited to, cameras, sound, vision, lighting, graphics, post-production, media management, MCR and Playout.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, able to prioritize a daily workload, and to meet deadlines both individually, and as part of a team.
Understanding of networking and switching is a major plus.
Experience and understanding of file formats and file- based workflows.
Excellent communication skills to provide technical advice to journalists in newsroom.
Self-motivated, with a passion for the job, proactive and always approachable.
Ability to read, speak and effectively communicate in the English language
Strong communication skills a must; ability to communicate quickly and effectively
Solid work ethic with proven technical expertise
Ability to work under pressure, succeed in a fast-paced high-pressure deadline-driven environment
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, constantly changing environment
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or related experience required or technical school training with electronics training and related experience
2 years’ experience with the setup, operation and troubleshooting of broadcast & IT equipment
Experience with AutoCAD
Experience with the following equipment preferred: iNews Avid system, Sony's ELC-MVS01 systems, VizRT graphic systems, ETC Congo lighting desks, Sony Vision Mixers, and Calrec audio desks
Having ST-2110 knowledge and understanding for signal flow .
Experience with streaming technologies (HLS, NDI, RTMP,SRT.RTSP),
Experience with IP base router system
Experience with Camera robotic system and controller such as VINTEN or Shotoku
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation ( SOP ) for all implemented networks. • Maintenance and problem resolution, operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration
